KNEIFF ONLY 1 M HIGHER THAN BUURGPLAATZ
Kneiff is a hill in the Ardennes, in the commune of Troisvierges, in northern Luxembourg, near the tripoint shared with Belgium and Germany. At 560 metres, it is the highest point in the country.
It is 1 m taller than Buurgplaatz, which is often erroneously considered Luxembourg's highest point. It lies close to the town of Wilwerdange.
2019-01-12 Left a snowy and cold Sweden and flew from Bromma Airport to Brussel. Picked up my rental car, a Seat Ibiza and drove to Luxembourg’s highest point, Kneiff 560 m. It took around 2 hours to go there and it was very easy to find the route thanks to Google Maps.
Kneiff is in the middle of nowhere, around 60 kilometers from the capital. At least it has a white marked stone so you know for sure where the point is.
