Here I share my journeys through the European countries and the highest peak. Depending on how you count the European countries there will be different lists.
From 44 countries to 50 depending on what criterias you choose. Some of the countries are transcontinental, which means they are located on more than one continent. For these countries I have chosen the highest top which is located in the European continent and if I climb the highest in that country as well it will be a bonus.
"Three Towers of San Marino" are a group of towers located in San Marino. The towers are located on the three peaks of Monte Titano in the capital. Highest one is Torre Cesta, oldest one Torre Guaita and the smallest Torre Montale.
Reaching the Carpathian Mountains, after flying to Ivano-Frankivsk via Kiev. At arrival on IFO-airport it was like traveling in a time machine. Not much had been changed since Lenin ruled.
"The Brother O'Sheas Gully" approach to Carrauntohil is a moderate to strenuous around 6 hour (13 km) walking route to the summit of Carrauntohil Mountain at 1039 m with a start at Cronins Yard near the town of Killarney, Co. Kerry in the south west of Ireland.
